Plato's Timaeus (SEP entry revised)


A long-term goal of mine has been to discover what value might be found in the Timaeus for ecological and environmental philosophy. The German idealist Schelling provides readers of the Timaeus with some clues in his own reading of the dialogue as Schelling's commentary is another highly recommended piece of what Whitehead had called "the philosophy of organism."
